Delegates got up close and personal with FUSO eCanter at the eWorld Expo in Auckland, as it shed its body to reveal its chassis, batteries and fully electric drivetrain.

The event attracted a broad range of delegates, including the Minister for Transport Michael Woods and officials from the Ministry of Transport and NZTA (Waka Kotahi).

Fuso NZ GM sales and customer experience Kathy Schluter, who leads the eCanter launch project, said: “Getting eCanter in front of New Zealand’s leading EV thinkers and passionate members of the public helps validate our five-year quest to bring this fully electric light truck to New Zealand and show the quality that OEM-designed, built and tested products offer over aftermarket.

“FUSO and its parent company Daimler have a well-respected focus on quality and reliability and that was recognised by the audience.”

Fuso New Zealand is now talking to interested businesses about integrating eCanter into their fleets. If you’d like to know more, talk to your Keith Andrews rep today!
